Nature of the service

The site provides free estimates of transfer duty (stamp duty), surcharges and first home grants in the Australian states and territories, from the rates published by each revenue office. An estimate is not an assessment, not legal, tax or financial advice, and does not replace the notice issued by the revenue office or the advice of a conveyancer or solicitor. The site is independent and is not affiliated with any government. Method and limits: methodology.

Liability

Rates are read at the source and the engine is tested against official calculators, without any guarantee that no error remains. The publisher is not liable for a decision made solely on the basis of an estimate. Report errors through the contact page.

Reuse and embedding

Texts and code remain the publisher's property; short quotations with a link are welcome. The calculator can be embedded free of charge with its credit link visible: embed page. Content quoted from government sites remains subject to the licence shown on those sites.

Personal data

The site sets no cookie and the publisher records no personal data; stability is monitored anonymously, without cookies, with Microsoft Clarity. See the privacy policy and the cookies page.
